Highest risk is Nantucket and the coastal waters to the south and east.</div><div><br></div><div><b>Potential Impacts: </b></div><div><b>- </b>Period of 40 to 60 mph wind gusts across Cape Cod and the Islands, strongest over Nantucket. This may result in some downed trees and scattered power outages.</div><div>- Heavy rain of 2 to 4 inches across Cape Cod and The Islands. Heaviest rain occurs late Friday night into Saturday morning over Nantucket. Some urban/poor drainage street flooding may occur.</div><div>- Minor coastal flooding possible between 6 and 10 am for Nantucket Harbor and perhaps some north facing beaches of Cape Cod. <b>No significant coastal flooding or property damage is expected.</b></div><div>- 45 to 55 knot wind gusts and 15 to 20+ foot seas across the waters east of Cape Cod and south and east of Nantucket. Dangerous conditions for mariners.</div><div><br></div><div><b>Confidence</b>:</div><div>- High confidence in a period of strong wind gusts and heavy rain across the Cape and Islands, especially Nantucket.</div><div>- Lower confidence on the potential for minor coastal flooding. </div><div><br></div><div>The next briefing will be around 6 pm, unless there is a need for a briefing sooner.
