Dear Emergency Managers and other partners,

Heat and Humidity - Tuesday
A Heat Advisory has been issued for the Mid Hudson Valley & Capital Region for Tuesday.  The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity may result in an increased risk for heat-related illnesses.

Thunderstorms - Tuesday through Wednesday
There is a marginal risk for severe thunderstorm on Tuesday afternoon through Tuesday evening for areas north and west of the Capital Region.  The main threat will be damaging winds, which may down trees and power lines.
Thunderstorms will also be capable of producing heavy downpours Tuesday through Wednesday.  Minor flooding of urban, low lying and poor drainage areas is possible.  Isolated flash flooding cannot be ruled out as well.

Please refer to the attached briefing for more details.  The excepted rainfall through Wednesday is also attached as well.
