Dear Emergency Managers and other partners,

No changes to winter weather headlines, however a little less sleet/snow accumulations are expected.

Freezing rain continues to occur across much of the local area. Significant icing is expected in some locations with power outages expected across the Warning areas. Travel could become difficult to impossible in some areas.

Ice Storm Warning: Schoharie Valley, Helderbergs, eastern Catskills, Berkshires and northern Litchfield Hills with additional ice accumulations of 1/4 to 1/3 of an inch. Greatest ice accumulations above 1200 feet. elevation. Snow/sleet amounts up to an inch.

Winter Storm Warning: western/southern Adirondacks, Mohawk Valley, Lake George Saratoga Region, Washington County, northern Taconics and southern Vermont with additional ice accumulations of a tenth to 1/3 of an inch and snow/sleet amounts up to 2 inches.

Winter Weather Advisory: Capital District, mid Hudson Valley, central/southern Taconics and southern Litchfield County with Ice accumulations of a tenth of  an inch or less, except up to 1/4 an inch above 500
feet elevation. Snow/sleet amounts up to an inch.

In addition, peak wind gusts of 30-40 mph are expected at times today into tonight across the higher terrain of the Warning areas, which will contribute to potential for power outages.
