Dear Emergency Managers and Other Partners,

A storm system will impact the most of eastern NY and western New England tonight through Friday morning.  Precipitation will begin between 1 am and 3 am across eastern New York and western New England, as a wintry mix of snow and sleet that will quickly change to freezing rain.  As temperatures continue to rise above freezing, precipitation will change to plain rain between 5 AM and 10 AM Friday.  A light accumulation of snow and ice is expected and this will lead to slippery travel, which may impact the morning commute in some areas.
