Dear Emergency Managers and other partners,

Confidence on a large storm system impacting eastern NY and western New England with heavy rain and embedded thunderstorms Friday into Saturday continues to grow. Due to increasing confidence in flooding, the Weather Prediction Center's Excessive Rainfall Outlook continues to highlight the entire region with a Slight Risk category (see attachment). This means both flash flooding and poor drainage flooding are a concern. Also attached is the Significant River Flood Outlook from the River Forecast Center. This product highlights the areas where rivers could reach moderate or greater flood stage from April 17 - 22, 2019.

Stay tuned for further updates from your National Weather Service.
