Thunderstorms and Heavy Rain
Scattered thunderstorms will overspread much of the region this afternoon into the evening. Thunderstorms will be capable of producing heavy rain and gusty winds. Very localized urban and poor draining flooding cannot be ruled out.

Heat and Humidity
Heat indices on Monday and Tuesday afternoon may reach the mid-90s for the Hudson Valley.  A Heat Advisory may be needed.  The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity may result in an increased risk for heat-related illnesses.
