Dear Emergency Managers and other Partners,

A large storm system will continue to bring a widespread moderate to heavy rainfall into tonight. The rainfall coupled with some snow melt in the higher terrain is expected to produce some minor river flooding and urban/poor drainage flooding. A Flood Watch remains in effect for all of eastern New York and western New England. Current forecast rainfall totals are in the 1 to 3 inch range with locally higher amounts over higher terrain south and east of the Capital District.

In addition, strong east to southeast gusty winds are also expected over the higher terrain of eastern New York and western New England, especially above 2000 feet elevation.
