There have been no major changes since the last update. We are still expecting freezing rain, sleet and snow to impact area this evening into Tuesday with significant icing and power outages expected across the Warning areas. Travel could become difficult to impossible in some areas.
Ice Storm Warning: Schoharie Valley, Helderbergs, eastern Catskills, Berkshires and northern Litchfield Hills with ice accumulations of 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch
Winter Storm Warning: western/southern Adirondacks, Mohawk Valley, Lake George Saratoga Region, Washington County, northern Taconics and southern Vermont with ice accumulations of 1/4 to 3/4 of an inch and snow/sleet amounts of 1-4 inches
Winter Weather Advisory: Capital District, mid Hudson Valley, central/southern Taconics and southern Litchfield County with ice accumulations of a glaze up to a tenth of an inch with isolated accumulations of near 1/3 of an inch above 500 feet elevation
In addition, winds may gust to 30-40 mph at times Monday over portions of the Warning areas, which could contribute to potential for power outages.
