Dear Emergency Managers and other partners,

A Flood Watch remains in effect for the Mohawk Valley and Adirondacks for 6 PM today through 6 PM Sunday. Heavy rainfall combined with some snow melt may lead to minor flooding, as well as ponding of water in low lying and urban areas.  Some thunderstorms may accompany the heaviest rainfall for late tonight into early Sunday morning.

A Wind Advisory is in effect for all of eastern New York and western New England for late tonight through Sunday afternoon.  Southwest to west winds will gusts up to 50 mph, which may allow for some downed trees and power outages.

After very mild weather today and tonight, temperatures are expected to fall during the day Sunday behind the departing storm.  Temperatures will fall below freezing between Sunday afternoon and Sunday evening across the region.  This may allow for any remaining wet surfaces to become slick.
