Dear Emergency Managers and other partners,

Strong to damaging winds are expected this evening into Monday evening across the entire region.  A High Wind Warning is in effect for all of eastern New York & western New England from this evening until 7 PM Monday.  Wind gusts up to 65 mph will result in downed large tree limbs and trees & scattered to widespread power outages.

Also, lake effect snow and blowing snow will impact the western/southwest Adirondacks and western Mohawk Valley tonight into Monday.  3 to 8 inches of new snow is expected for this area and the reduced visibility & snow covered roadways will make for hazardous travel.

Please refer to attached briefing for more details.
