Dear Emergency Managers and other partners,

A slow developing storm system will bring a mix of precipitation to the area Monday into Tuesday.
  • Snow with a possible a wintry mix can be expected north of I-90 Monday into Tuesday, with up to several inches of snow possible in the southern Adirondacks and southern Green Mountains.
  • South of I-90 accumulations of snow and/or ice will be likely be lighter, but falling temperatures with wintry precipitation could cause hazardous travel conditions for the Tuesday morning commute.
A Winter Weather Advisory will likely eventually be needed for much of the area.

In addition, temperatures will fall late Monday night and Tuesday, so that moisture on area roadways could freeze, causing slippery conditions regardless of snowfall amounts.

A small shift in the expected track of this storm will shift the rain, snow and ice areas, so stay tuned for further updates.
