Dear Emergency Managers and other partners,

A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for the western and southern Adirondacks, Mohawk Valley, Lake George Saratoga Region & Southern Vermont for Tuesday into Wednesday.   There is the potential for a moderate to heavy snowfall across this area, which may result in hazardous to difficult travel, including during the evening commute on Tuesday.  Areas south of this region may see sleet and freezing rain after a period of snow Tuesday.  While hazardous travel is still possible for this area, snowfall amounts will be lower than areas to the north.
