Dear Emergency Managers and other partners,

Dense Fog Advisory issued through 1 AM Tuesday
  • Areas of dense fog causing poor visibility will result in hazardous travel

Rain and Snow melt through Tuesday with flooding possible
  • Mild temperatures and rainfall will cause the existing snow pack to partially melt resulting in significant rises on area rivers and creeks
  • A few river points may approach or possibly exceed flood stage. This is most likely on the Hoosic River at Eagle Bridge NY and on the Walloomsac at Bennington VT
  • Flooding of low lying and poor drainage areas is likely especially where drains are blocked by snow

Light snowfall south & east Capital District Tuesday night into Wednesday morning
  • A period of light snow is expected Tuesday night into Wednesday
  • Forecast snowfall amounts have been decreased since this morning, with around 1-2 inches now expected well south and east of Albany. This could lead to some slippery travel.
