Dear Emergency Managers and other Partners,

Winter Weather Advisories have been issued for much of eastern New York and western New England.

An approaching low pressure system is expected to bring a wintry mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain early Sunday morning through Sunday night. The precipitation will begin across southern areas on Sunday morning and expand northward throughout the day. The steadiest precipitation will be Sunday afternoon through Sunday evening. Light accumulation of snow and ice is expected, although the exact amounts are uncertain at this time.
