Dear Emergency Managers and Other Partners,

There is a Marginal Risk for severe thunderstorms today for the eastern Catskills, mid Hudson Valley, the southern Taconics, Berkshire County, MA and Litchfield County, CT. The best chance for severe thunderstorms will be this afternoon, with the greatest threat being damaging winds.  

Locally heavy rain is possible across the entire Albany Forecast area through the remainder of today, especially where thunderstorms occur. Flooding in poor drainage, urban and low lying areas is possible. 

There is also a Marginal Risk for severe thunderstorms on Wednesday for the Mid-Hudson Valley into western New England.
