Dangerous heat conditions will continue through Sunday:

Excessive Heat Warning continues through Sunday for the mid-Hudson Valley, southern Taconics and Litchfield County
Heat Advisory continues through Sunday for much of the area

The heat wave will come to an end Sunday night and Monday with a passage of a cold front. Highs Monday are forecast to range from the lower 70s to lower 80s.

Also, scattered thunderstorms are expected through Monday with the most widespread coverage Sunday night through Monday. Thunderstorms could contain gusty winds and very heavy rainfall resulting in localized urban and small stream flooding.
