NWS Albany - Wind and Winter Weather Advisories - Friday February 8, 2019 - 530 PM
*Dear Emergency Managers and other partners,* The Wind advisory continues for eastern NY (excluding the mid-Hudson Valley), and all of western New England until 3 pm Saturday. Downed large tree limbs and/or a few trees are possible, along with isolated to scattered power outages. A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Herkimer county in NY. It is in effect until 1 PM Saturday for northern Herkimer County for an additional 2-5 inches of snow accumulation with blowing snow creating difficult travel conditions in some areas. The Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 7 pm tonight to 1 pm Saturday for southern Herkimer County for 3-6" of snow accumulation, as well as blowing snow creating difficult travel conditions. There is a potential for accumulating snow and perhaps a wintry mix Tuesday into Tuesday night. Please see the attached briefing for additional details on the Wind and Winter Weather Advisories.
