NWS Albany - Winter Storm Watch Expanded for Tuesday into Wednesday - Sunday, Feb 10, 2019 5:25 PM
*** The information in this email pertains to the following areas only:**** *- In Connecticut: Litchfield County* *- In Massachusetts: Berkshire County* *- In Vermont: Bennington & Windham Counties* *- In New York: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Hamilton, Herkimer, Montgomery, Greene, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Ulster, Warren and Washington Counties* Dear Emergency Managers and other partners, A Winter Storm Watch has been expanded to include all areas except Dutchess County, New York and Litchfield County, Connecticut for Tuesday into Wednesday. There is the potential for a moderate to heavy snowfall across this area, which may result in hazardous to difficult travel, including during the evening commute on Tuesday. Southern areas will see sleet and freezing rain after a period of snow Tuesday. Hazardous travel is still expected for this area, but snowfall amounts will be lower than areas to the north. The combination of freezing rain and wind may cause some scattered power outages Tuesday night across the Berkshires, southern Taconics and Litchfield Hills.
