Temperatures at the onset look cold enough for precipitation to begin as snow, sleet and freezing rain in the Adirondacks, Upper Hudson Valley, western Mohawk Valley, southern VT and the Berkshires. This may lead to dangerous travel conditions tomorrow evening and we have issued a Winter Weather Advisory for these areas. Before daybreak Tuesday, we expect temperatures to gradually warm allowing any wintry mix to transition back to plain rain. Winds behind the storm on Tuesday will shift to the west and northwest and become gusty. Winds could gust over 45 mph in the Mohawk Valley, Schoharie Valley, eastern Catskills, northern and central Taconics, southern Green Mountains, Berkshires and Litchfield Hills.
