NWS Albany - Winter Storm Continues through Monday Night - issued Sunday, December 1, 2019 400 PM
**** The information in this email pertains to the following areas only:**** *- In Connecticut: Litchfield County* *- In Massachusetts: Berkshire County* *- In Vermont: Bennington & Windham Counties* *- In New York: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Hamilton, Herkimer, Montgomery, Greene, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Ulster, Warren and Washington Counties* Dear Emergency Managers and other partners, Very little has changed since the last briefing. Snow continues through tonight, moderate to heavy at times with rates of around an inch per hour possible through early tonight mainly along/north of I-90 and across the higher terrain. Snow will decrease in intensity through tonight at times especially over the Mid-Hudson Valley, Litchfield County, and along the western slopes of the higher terrain of western New England where light sleet and freezing rain will become possible. Snow will continue during the day Monday into Monday night, becoming moderate to heavy at times especially over portions of the Capital District, Helderbergs, eastern Catskills, and southern Vermont where rates in excess of an inch per hour are possible.
