NWS Albany - Heavy Rain and Severe Weather Threats This Weekend - Saturday, June 1, 2019 - 530 AM
**** The information in this email pertains to the following areas only:**** *- In Connecticut: Litchfield County* *- In Massachusetts: Berkshire County* *- In Vermont: Bennington & Windham Counties* *- In New York: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Hamilton, Herkimer, Montgomery, Greene, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Ulster, Warren and Washington Counties* Dear Emergency Managers and other partners, Thunderstorms are expected at times this weekend. Storms moving in during the mid-afternoon into the evening could pose an isolated flash flood threat mainly across the Mohawk Valley, Capital District, Schoharie Valley, and eastern Catskills from 4-10 pm. On Sunday, there is a marginal to slight risk of severe weather during the afternoon and evening. The main threat is damaging winds. Secondary threats are large hail and isolated tornadoes.
