Overall, our thinking regarding the upcoming heat wave remains unchanged. We continue to have high confidence in a three-day period (Wed-Fri) of oppressive heat with maximum apparent temperatures/heat indices between 98 and 105°F away from the immediate coast. It should be noted that little nighttime relief is expected, especially in the urban population centers.
