Good afternoon, all:

The overall threats of strong to severe thunderstorms and flash flooding have diminished for this evening into the early morning hours. It now appears that the greatest risk will pass by across northern New England, as well as to our south through the Mid Atlantic. While the overall threat is lower, we will continue to monitor the southern coastal waters and towards the south coasts of RI and MA. Those are the areas of greatest concern at this time.

We will continue the Flood Watch for now, and continue to monitor the showers and thunderstorms just arriving in southern New England. Should the current trends continue, it is likely this watch will be cancelled early, sometime later this evening.

This will be the last briefing for this event, unless there is a significant change.
