Strong westerly wind gusts will continue across most coastal locations, including Cape Cod and the Islands as well as northern Berkshire county.   

Here are the details:

Wind Advisories remain in effect for:
  • Eastern Essex County through 9 AM this morning
  • Northern Berkshire County:
    • First:  For East winds through 7 AM this morning
    • Second:  For West winds from 10 AM this morning through Midnight tonight
  • Barnstable County from 10 AM this morning through 7 PM this evening
  • Dukes and Nantucket Counties as well as Block Island from 9 AM this morning through 6 AM Friday morning
What...Expect sustained winds of 20 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph

When...Strongest wind gusts will occur through mid morning across northern Berkshire County and coastal Essex County/Cape Ann region. For Cape Cod, the strongest gusts will occur late this morning through this evening.  Across the islands, expect the strongest gusts from around 9 AM this morning through early Friday morning.  

Impacts...Unsecured objects such as trash cans may be blown around. Tree limbs may be blown down and may cause localized damage. A few power outages are also possible.

Additional Information...Elsewhere across southern New England, windy conditions are expected, but should be below wind advisory criteria today and tonight.
