Extreme heat and humidity remain in the forecast for Today and Sunday.  We expect heat indices to range from between 105 and 115 degrees both afternoons.  It will also remain very warm and humid overnight which may exacerbate heat related issues. We have attached images of the expected maximum heat indices for Today and Sunday.  Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

No Changes To Current Headlines ...
  • Excessive Heat Warnings continue for most of Massachusetts, all of Connecticut and Rhode Island through the weekend. 
  • Heat Advisories continue for Berkshire County, Cape Cod, and Martha's Vineyard through the weekend.

What/When/Where ...
  • Extreme heat and humidity this weekend across all of southern New England, except for Nantucket and Block Island.
  • Maximum Heat Index values between 105 and 115 degrees both Today and Sunday for most of the region, Heat Index Values between 96 and 104 degrees across Berkshire county, Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard.

Relief From The Heat/Humidity ...
  • The extreme heat should be finished by Monday, although it may still get rather warm and humid with highs well up into the 80s to near 90.
  • Humidity levels will diminish on Monday from oppressive to noticeable. 
  • More significant relief arrives Tuesday night and Wednesday.
