Good Afternoon,

Attached is a briefing regarding the potential for strong to severe storms Monday afternoon and evening; generally between 5 and 9 pm.  The greatest threats associated with these possible storms will be strong wind gusts and localized poor drainage and street flooding, primarily across the CT River Valley in western MA and central CT. The Storm Prediction Center has placed these areas in a SLIGHT risk for severe weather.

Storms are anticipated to weaken as they move east. The risk for severe weather east of the CT river valley decreases significantly as any storms that do form will likely weaken after sunset.

Kind regards,

Kristie Smith, Hayden Frank, and Rob Megnia
