Just a quick correction to our prior message to include the Max Wind Gust image for the Monday.  No other changes have been made.

Wintry weather continues this morning, followed by damaging winds tonight through Monday night. Details below. 

Headlines
  • WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY
    • Northern CT, northwest RI, western & central MA through early this morning
Winter Weather
  • What: Brief light snow / sleet quickly changing to freezing rain across the interior before changing over to rain. Ice accretion of a trace up to two tenths; highest over the Berkshires, Worcester Hills, and Pioneer Valley.
  • When: Changing to rain by mid morning Sunday. 
  • Impacts: Low impact given marginal temperatures.  Snow / ice covered roadways linger into this morning.
Winds
  • What: Strong, damaging winds gusting 55 to 65 mph; potential for gusts as strong as 70 mph. 
  • When: Beginning tonight, peaking Monday afternoon, gradually diminishing through Tuesday.
  • Impacts: Downed tree limbs / trees and power lines. Scattered power outages and blocked roads likely due to tree / power line debris.
