Good morning,

We are writing to inform you that a Wind Advisory has been issued for much of central and western Massachusetts, including Cape Cod and the Islands (Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard, and Block Island). This advisory is effective from late Thursday night through early Friday afternoon. Please be aware that if confidence in the forecast continues to increase, the advisory area could expand during the next forecast issuance. The primary concern is strong westerly gusts 50 to 55 mph.

In addition, overnight, a minor clipper system is expected to bring a quick hit of snow. Accumulations ranging from a light dusting to 3 inches are possible, with certain areas in the Berkshires potentially seeing localized amounts reaching 4 inches. For further details, please refer to the attached image.

The next briefing is expected to be issued no later than 6 p.m. this afternoon.

Thank you,
Torry Dooley & Kevin Cadima
