Good afternoon,

Here is the latest briefing for potential severe weather over the next day and a half.

There remains a chance for an isolated thunderstorm or two this evening across far western Massachusetts but the main concern for severe weather is Saturday. Confidence in the area that is most likely to see severe weather on Saturday has increased since the last update. While most of southern New England will have a chance to see severe storms, the highest risk will be across western areas of Massachusetts and Connecticut. There may be an initial round of storms Saturday morning, but these are expected to remain below severe limits. The main risk for scattered severe storms arrives later in the day with the potential for thunderstorm activity anytime between 2 and  10pm. Confidence in the severe weather potential and timing for Saturday is rated as moderate - as cloud cover and possible showers/embedded thundershowers early in the morning could affect the afternoon severe weather risk.

Thank You!

Meteorologists: Hayden Frank, Caitlyn Mensch, and Francis Tarasiewicz
