After a mild and quiet few days today and Thursday we are expecting several winter weather hazards to impact southern New England over the next 5 days. First will be a coastal storm which brings several potentially hazardous conditions: 1) rain changing to snow for portions of eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island 2) strong, potentially damaging winds Friday and Friday night 3) a surge of arctic air which will bring the dangerous wind chills as well as a potential flash freeze for areas that saw wet weather. Finally, we're keeping an eye on a storm system Sunday night and Monday which may bring rain or snow to the region. If you have any questions, we can be reached via
