Good morning everyone,

Attached is our latest forecast update for today and tomorrow. Very little changes have been made.

Heat:
Heat Advisories are posted for much of southern New England with the expectation of heat index values reaching the 95-100F range, especially away from the coast.  Actual temperatures will be in the mid 90s in those same areas both today and again tomorrow. Low temperatures tonight will not drop below 70F in many areas, especially urban areas.

Potential Strong Thunderstorms Sunday:
There is still a risk for strong to possibly severe thunderstorms to move into western sections of Massachusetts and Connecticut Sunday afternoon, primarily after 4pm.  The NWS Storm Prediction Center has included the far northwest portion of Massachusetts in a "Slight Risk" for Severe Thunderstorms. This is actually a slightly smaller area than previous forecasts. We will continue to monitor the potential and provide an update later this afternoon.

See attached for the 1-Pager, along with additional images showing the maximum heat index values today and Sunday and the Storm Prediction Center's outlook.

Stay cool.

Andy Nash & Rodney Chai
