Good Morning Everyone,
We have attached two one-page briefings and corresponding images:
1) Light icing this morning across interior southern New England. Slippery travel is possible before temperatures rise above freezing this afternoon. Note that we have added western Rhode Island to the Winter Weather Advisory.
2) Potential for urban and river flooding in Rhode Island. A Flood Watch has been issued for Rhode Island (except Block Island) Thursday night into Friday. We are most concerned about the possibility of the Pawtuxet River reaching its moderate flood stage sometime Thursday night or early Friday morning. Note that we do not expect flooding to be as significant as it was earlier this month. Homes and businesses could be impacted in low lying sections of Warwick, West Warwick and Cranston.
This will be the final update on the light icing. The next briefing on the potential flooding will be issued later this afternoon.
Thanks,
Joe Dellicarpini and Kyle Pederson
