Please find attached an updated one pager briefing on the ongoing significant early season summer heat and the potential for strong to severe thunderstorms later today. The updated heat index and forecast high temperature graphics are also attached. Maximum heat indices are forecast to be between 95-100F away from the coast so Heat Advisories remain in effect till 8 PM this evening. 

In addition, we are still expecting a round of strong to severe thunderstorms to impact mainly western MA and northwest CT between 2-10 PM. Main hazards are isolated damaging wind gusts and small hail. The latest SPC Day 1 convective outlook and an explanation of the categories have also been attached.
