Good morning,

Attached is an updated one-page briefing on the expected potential for a narrow band of scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms to move through Southern New England tonight.

Main Change: An increase in the severe thunderstorm threat level to Slight Risk for portions of Berkshire County in Massachusetts, and Litchfield and southern Fairfield County in Connecticut. A Marginal Risk for severe weather was maintained across remaining portions of Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island.

That said, expected impacts are very similar to that which was briefed Friday afternoon: isolated tree damage due to wind gusts in the 35-45 mph range given fully leafed trees. A low risk of a severe thunderstorm or two could exist, though better odds for such exist across eastern New York and western New England.

Unless there are significant changes, this will be the last briefing regarding isolated wind damage potential tonight.

Thank You!

Meteorologists: Andrew Loconto and Kevin Cadima
