Good afternoon,
Here is the latest briefing for the storm which is expected to impact southern New England Sun night into Mon.
The best chance for several inches of snow accumulation will be across interior northern MA, mainly north of the Mass Pike and west of I-495. A winter storm watch has been issued for the northern Berkshires for Sun night into Monday, with winter weather advisories for the rest of interior northern MA. Mainly rain is expected in the coastal plain Sun night, but the rain is expected to change to snow from north to south on Monday and there is the potential for minor snow accumulation in the coastal plain. This will need to be further evaluated in later forecasts.
Minor coastal flooding is possible along the east coast of MA during the midday Monday high tide. Coastal flood advisories will likely eventually be issued.
The risk for strong winds has diminished.
Thank you.
Kevin Cadima and Bryce Williams
