Strong to severe thunderstorms are expected over Southern New England today into Thursday morning. The primary threats will be damaging winds and localized torrential downpours. However, a tornado cannot be ruled out. 

The higher likelihood of severe storms today will be in Western/Central Massachusetts and Northern Connecticut. This then shifts into Eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island tonight into early Thursday.
