A follow up to this morning's email to give an update on the latest weather hazards.
Changed:
Storm Warning cancelled for Cape Cod Bay, Nantucket Sound, Vineyard Sound and Buzzards Bay. Gale Warning in effect now for all waters till 7pm tomorrow.
High Wind Warning cancelled for Cape Cod and the Islands.
Wind Advisory cancelled for Block Island, Southern Rhode Island and Southeast Massachusetts.
Areal Flood Watch cancelled for most areas except for certain rivers. Detail below:
Rain/Flooding Threat
Locations: Particular rivers at risk include: Pawcatuck River at Westerly and Wood River Junction, Pawtuxet River at Cranston, Taunton River at Bridgewater, Wood River at Hope Valley, and Nashua River at East Pepperell.
Timing: Now through tomorrow morning, heaviest this afternoon.
Amounts: Additional 0.25 inches of precipitation across Western MA and northern CT. Additional 0.5 to 1 inch of rain for RI as well as central and eastern MA.
Impact: Combination of snow melt and rainfall runoff may result in localized flooding. Also, very minor flooding or splashover in eastern MA coast during high tide through this afternoon.

Strong Winds:
Locations: Cape Cod, the islands and all coastal waters.
Timing: Now through this afternoon.
Wind Speeds: Southwest winds 15 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.
Impact: Gusty winds could blow unsecured objects around. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
Confidence: High.
High Seas:
Locations: Coastal waters from Provincetown to Chatham to Nantucket and out 20 nm, Coastal waters 25nm south of Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket.
Timing: Now through 7pm tomorrow.
Wave Heights: 10 to 15 feet.
Impact: Hazardous seas combined with strong winds could capsize or damage vessels.
