Good Afternoon Everyone,

Below is our updated briefing regarding the strong winds forecast for Wednesday afternoon through Thursday evening. We are anticipated that the highest southerly winds will impact most of southern New England Wednesday afternoon and evening, and the highest westerly winds will impact interior Massachusetts (primarily the higher terrain west of Worcester) Thursday afternoon. A wind advisory is in place for Wednesday across our entire area. While a wind advisory is in place for an extended period of time across western MA, we anticipate that winds will fall below advisory level criteria after midnight Thursday before picking back up Thursday afternoon.

Please also be aware that periods of heavy rain are expected to accompany the strong winds Wednesday afternoon and evening.

Kind Regards,

Rob Megnia, Kevin Cadima, and Kristie Smith
