Good morning everyone,

Changes this morning:
1. Coastal Flood Advisory in effect this morning for Nantucket.
2. Gale Warning times have been extended.

Hazards:  
1. Accumulating snow, and potential for poor travel in unplowed/untreated locations.   
2. Strong winds coming out of the north and northwest. Wind gusts to 35 mph inland and 45 to 50 mph Cape and Islands.
3. Coastal flooding on Nantucket, with inundation up to one foot above ground level along the shorelines.

A band of heavy snow fell from Nashua NH through Worcester and Springfield MA to Hartford and Willimantic CT early this morning. This is now shifting east across Eastern MA and RI. This band produced snowfall rates up to 2 inches per hour during the night.  By early afternoon the bulk of the precipitation will be offshore, except for some leftover light rain and light snow in Eastern MA.
