Good morning,

Due to the combination of dry conditions and gusty winds today, there is an elevated fire weather risk. A Red Flag Warning has been posted for most of southern New England. A Special Weather Statement has been issued for Cape Cod and the islands, where conditions are more marginal.

The attached graphic shows the location of the Red Flag Warnings today.

Looking farther ahead, dry weather is expected to persist through most of next week. Critically low daytime relative humidity is expected each day through Monday. The aspect which remains a concern will be wind speeds. Winds are not anticipated to be strong enough to elevate fire weather concerns significantly Saturday. However, gusty winds could develop Sunday and Monday. Daytime relative humidity may not be quite as low late next week, but it will be warmer.
