A coastal storm developing off the Carolinas this weekend will spread rain and wind into Southern New England late Sunday and Monday. At the same time, high pressure centered over Northern New England will maintain cold air inland, which may support freezing rain and sleet across Western and Central Massachusetts and Northern Connecticut.

Freezing/Frozen Precipitation:
- Location: Western and Central MA, parts of Northern CT
- Timing: Sunday about 6 PM to Monday about 11 AM.
- Amounts: From a trace up to one-tenth inch of ice.
- Impacts: Slippery roads.
- Uncertainty: Some forecast information limits the precipitation to the Worcester Hills and Northeast CT, while other forecast information carries precipitation to the Berkshires. Greatest confidence of ice occurrence is in Worcester County, with lower confidence in the East Slopes of the Berkshires and Western Hartford County.
Winds:
- Location: Cape Cod and Islands, Cape Ann
- Timing: Starting Sunday about 6 PM, Ending Monday around 2 PM Cape Cod and Islands and Monday around 6 PM Cape Ann.
- Strongest Sustained wind: Northeast around 32 mph.
- Peak Gusts: Northeast 39 to 41 mph.
- Impacts: Unsecured objects blown around, tree limbs blown down, a few power outages possible.
- Uncertainty: Moderate confidence on wind.
Coastal Flooding:
- Minor splashover is possible along the Massachusetts East Coast at the time of high tide Monday afternoon.
