No changes have been made to any of the Heat Headlines early this morning. A Heat Advisory remains in effect Monday for much off the region excluding the south coast and the higher terrain. 

An Excessive Heat Watch is in effect Tuesday for the potential for Heat Indices to reach or exceed 105 degrees, particularly across the CT and Merrimack River Valleys and across MetroWest.  This watch does NOT include the Cape and Islands. This watch will be converted to either a heat advisory or excessive heat warning in future updates depending on forecast trends. On Wednesday, Heat Indices will likely reach between 100 and 105+ degrees. Later shifts will have to consider adding Wednesday to the Excessive Heat Watch or at the very least a Heat Advisory will be needed.
