[2024.01.15 PM] NWS Boston EM Briefing: Accumulating Snow Late Tonight-Tuesday
Good afternoon, Here is the latest one pager briefing on the wintry weather expected late tonight into Tuesday across southern New England. We have also included separate images for Total Snow and Ice accumulations and a map of the winter weather advisory area. Winter Weather Advisories were issued for much of southern New England, except for SE MA and Cape/Islands. Snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches are expected in the advisory area, heaviest across interior northern MA, with 1 to 2 inches near the south coast. In addition, some icing is expected near and a bit west of the I-95 corridor as the snow changes to a period of sleet and freezing rain during Tuesday. The Tuesday morning commute will be impacted everywhere with snow covered roads. Snow covered and icy roads may impact the evening commute north and west of the I-95 corridor. Thank you.
