[2019.07.17 PM UPDATE] Flood and Severe Threats Have Concluded ... Heat and Humidity Friday through Sunday Continues
Good evening everyone, The SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH and FLASH FLOOD WATCH has been canceled. For tonight into Thursday there is the continued risk of scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms with embedded heavy downpours. Most of the focus along south coastal New England with a lower risk of nuisance flooding as there is the potential for rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour. It is entirely possible that the threat may end up completely south of our area. Confident it will remain at least south of the Massachusetts Turnpike. We'll have an updated briefing package prior to 6 am Thursday, July 18th should our forecast thinking change, as well as an update on the heat and humidity for Friday through Sunday outlined below. ************************************************************ ************************* *Heat and Humidity Friday through Sunday ...* *What ...* - Hot and humid weather with highs in the 90s to lower 100s. - Heat indices ranging around 95F to 110F.
