NWS Boston EM Briefing: Light Icing Risk Pushed Back Until Thursday PM for northern MA
Good evening everyone We just wanted to send a quick update this evening based on the latest trends. It now appears that temps should remain above freezing across all of southern New England Thursday morning, so no issues are expected for the morning commute. It still appears that there will be the risk for areas of freezing drizzle developing Thursday afternoon and especially during the evening across the high terrain as well as areas in northern Massachusetts...mainly north of Route 2 towards the New Hampshire border. Therefore...we opted to continue the Winter Weather Advisory but pushed it back until Thursday afternoon and evening. Any icing that occurs will be very light, but it only takes a small amount to result in slippery travel.
