[2021.12.10 Early PM UPDATE] NWS Boston EM Briefing - Strong Winds Tomorrow into Tomorrow Night
Good afternoon, We wanted to send a short update to the briefing sent this morning regarding the potential for strong wind gusts Saturday afternoon into Saturday evening. The latest guidance and trends reflect an increase in wind speed and wind gusts. While still in the *pre-decisional stage,* wind headlines are being considered for portions of southeast New England, including Cape Cod and the Islands. Despite the increase in speeds, only minor impact is currently envisioned. Attached are updated preliminary sustained wind speed and wind gust graphics (in MPH) based on the latest forecast trends. As the forecast is finalized, expect a full update to our briefing package which will be sent no later than 5 PM today. Thank You!
