Happy New Year everyone, A period of strong to damaging west wind gusts are expected today from mid morning into early afternoon. Wind gusts to 50 to 60 mph are expected, with the strongest gusts across northern MA. The high wind warning for north central and NE MA was expanded to Boston and Norfolk county. Wind advisories remain in effect for the rest of southern New England. The strong wind gusts may result in some tree damage and widely scattered power outages.
