Good afternoon, Please find attached an updated one page briefing and supporting graphics regarding the potential for strong to damaging winds on Friday. *Changes since last briefing:* - High Wind Warnings expanded to include southern Rhode Island and all of coastal Massachusetts. - No threat for coastal flooding with this event. *Other key points:* - Strongest southerly wind gusts to 55 to 65 mph are anticipated across southern Rhode Island, coastal Massachusetts, and the Cape and Islands from late morning into the early afternoon. Otherwise, wind gusts to 40 to 50 mph are expected Friday morning across the rest of southern New England. - Possibility of extending High Wind Warnings inland across southeast Massachusetts and northern Rhode Island. - Strong post-frontal west wind gusts to 40-50 mph expected Friday night, with greatest risk over the Berkshires, Worcester Hills and the Islands.
