NWS Boston: Tuesday Afternoon Briefing for Tropical Storm Elsa
All, Attached is our initial briefing on Tropical Storm Elsa. Primary concerns from the storm are the potential for some heavy rain north of where it tracks, rough marine conditions, and an increase in surf and rip currents along south coastal areas. At this point we continue to monitor its progress and updated forecasts issued by the National Hurricane Center (which come out at 5am, 11am, 5pm and 11pm daily). You can see the latest forecast information on the NHC webpage <https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/#Elsa> or our local tropical page <https://www.weather.gov/box/tropical>.
