[2025.06.28 AM] NWS Boston Briefing for Severe Weather Potential Saturday
Good morning everyone, The threat for severe weather has increased slightly (from level 1 -> 2) from our previous forecast for western MA & CT along the NY border. These storms are expected to weaken to just showers as the activity enters RI and eastern MA this evening. The attached timing graphics indicate the time frame for storms is between 4 PM and 10 PM, with highest probabilities between 6 PM and 9 PM. The main threat is damaging winds. However, there is a 2-4% probability of an isolated tornado. Also, some storms may contain brief heavy rainfall. Let us know if you have any questions.
